How do I recover data from an instance I deleted or can't reach?

If the volume still exists (detached, not deleted), create a new instance and select that volume as its OS volume, then SSH in and copy your data off. If the volume was deleted, restore it from Deleted Storage within 96 hours first. If you accidentally removed your SSH key, attach the old volume to a fresh instance as Additional storage and add your key to its authorized_keys.
